About the instructors:
Kate Holland (She/Her) is the Executive Director of Triad Stage. She built her theatre career on Musical Theatre, with degrees from Shenandoah Conservatory and New York University, as well as a myriad of regional and touring performance credits. A member of Actors’ Equity Association since 2008, Kate has been teaching and coaching musical theatre to actors and non-singers for much of the past 15 years. Favorite credits include Carrie Pipperidge (Carousel), Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Mrs. Mister (The Cradle Will Rock), The Wife (In Trousers), and National Anthemist for a variety of sporting and special events. Kate teaches acting in the vein of Seth Barrish and the Barrow Group, as well as the physical work of Michael Chekhov.
Jason Kraack was fortunate to play the role of Jean Valjean in the Third Broadway National Tour of Les Miserables in addition to several regional productions across the country. Previously, he traveled the country as a Touring Actor/Director for Missoula Children’s Theatre, worked alongside Mickey Mouse and others as a singing performer at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and tackled such regional theatre roles as John Wilkes Booth in Assassins, Richard in A New Brain, Che in Evita, John Rutledge in 1776, Freddy in Chess, The Beast in Walt Disney’s Beauty and The Beast and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde in Jekyll & Hyde. He has performed concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the Atlanta Symphony at the Woodruff Arts Center and the University of Miami Frost Wind Ensemble in Miami and at the 2012 CBDNA convention at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, WA. Jason completed studies for his Master of Music in Voice Performance in the spring of 2018.
