Ushering/Volunteering
Ushering
Being a volunteer usher is a great way for theater lovers of all ages and budgets to see the Triad’s “best live theater” for FREE! We’re always looking for friendly, responsible and reliable people to help us welcome audiences to our MainStage Theater productions. Whether you are an individual or in charge of a club or service organization, we invite you to be a part of the Triad Stage experience.
Attire
Ushers are to arrive at Triad Stage one hour prior to the curtain time (though this may vary according to the needs of the play), and are to wear clean white dress shirts and black dress pants. Women may also wear black skirts. Ushers are encouraged to wear dark, comfortable shoes that allow them to climb stairs safely.
Duties
Duties include stuffing inserts into programs; learning about the seating chart and theater protocol through a brief orientation; tearing tickets and helping guests find their seats; and picking up the theater following the performance.
How to Sign Up
Email your request to usher to House Manager Teresa Clifton or call 336.274.0067 ext. 217.
When submitting your request, please help us in scheduling you by including:
- Your desired performance dates
- Your name (please spell) and let us know if you represent a club or organization
- The evening and daytime phone numbers at which you can be reached
Volunteering
As a non-profit arts organization serving the community, we rely on the generosity of volunteers. We frequently need volunteers in our administrative department (Marketing, Development, Company Management and Patron Services).
In return for their contribution of time, volunteers are given complimentary tickets to MainStage Theater productions and a listing in the show program, not to mention the eternal gratitude of Triad Stage.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email our volunteer coordinator or call 336.274.0067 ext. 217.
